Tamariu is a small paradise bathed by the Mediterranean Sea. Its quiet beach still retains the charm of the old fishing villages, with some excellent restaurants cheering the cove.
As the cars are not allowed in the maritime zone and from any point you can see the whole beach, you can leave your children playing on the promenade or on the beach, while you rest on a terrace in front of the sea without losing sight of them.
When the night comes, let yourself be tempted by one of the restaurants by the sea, to taste the best fish and seafood in the area with the sound of waves. A unique experience.
Do you prefer to eat at home? You will love the kitchen, fully equipped with everything you may need.
And if Tamariu is great in summer, it’s even better off season. Without people, without hurry, and with an exceptional temperate climate. Stroll along the beach on a cool sunny day and sit on the terrace of one of the restaurants open all year round, returning the forces necessary to return to the city and face the rest of the winter.
Tamariu has 3 small supermarkets, 2 bakeries, shops and bars (open from March to November).
You will find a diving center and a kayak center. You can also rent boats, with or without title.
The walks along the spectacular walkways add a unique experience to the stay. There are a large number of roads around Tamariu, discovering at each step hidden coves, cliffs and canyons. Beauty in the wild with breathtaking views over the immensity of the Mediterranean Sea.
The cheerful village of Palafrugell is 5 km away, offering the necessary services throughout the year: pharmacies, large supermarkets, an excellent daily market with the best local products, medical assistance and a lot of shops of all kinds.
The Empordà, the area where Tamariu is is simply spectacular. The best virgin beaches of the Costa Brava are around Tamariu, and very close to the interior we find the route of the medieval towns, some declared historic-artistic monuments. And if we add the history, culture and excellent cuisine of the area, it gives us the ideal place to spend a few days of relaxation.
